An accomplished classically-trained pianist and mezzo/countertenor who is able to perform in a range of styles (from avantgarde to jazz to rock), Stephen has also arranged and contributed music for films and plays.

coaching/accompaniment

Stephen has accompanied instrumentalists and singers in recitals and competitions. He also teaches piano and coaches singers where he draws on his experience and knowledge of pedagogy.

lecture/seminar

With a grounding in critical aesthetic theory and philosophy, Stephen has given lectures that raise questions of ethical significance in artistic practices. He has also given seminars on composition and performance.
